It's a funny thing, being far enough down the reincarnation chain that you keep reappearing as pie.

Admittedly in Dave's case he did rather deserve it, for reasons he'd rather not discuss - and, for the record, the kittens totally had it coming - but when you were almost at the bottom, at least you could only really go up. He'd started off as a trans fats, greasy, gristly thing where he was pretty sure around ninety percent of the meat inside him wasn't actually from any recognisable Earth-born animal, and bit by bit by way of attempting to be tasty and/or not choking people to death he was working his way back up the food chain, so to speak

Aww <3! In all fairness I did end up writing about a sentient bathtub for Lost Souls fandom some years back and I think that particular variety of crack is something I've been itching to write again ever since XD.
