Just playing with the crossposting feature on Dreamwidth.

Also, while going through stuff at my grandpa's house, I found a deck of UNO. It's been so many years since I've played that game. I'll have to see if I can find the rules online so I can play it with my daughter.

We play UNO all the time with the boys (you don't even want to know how many versions we have of it), that and Skip-Bo. If you can't find rules online I can probably type them up for you...it's not the most complicated game to explain.

I managed to find the rules. I'll be honest, I've never heard of Skip-Bo.

The boys love Skip-Bo. It's a card game where you have a stockpile of cards that you can only see the top card and you have to get rid of your pile first by building stacks of cards that go from 1 to 12. It's hard to explain but really easy to learn.

How old is your daughter? Jonathon picked up how to play really young (around 4) and sadly he's 13 now and I've beat him at this game exactly twice. Travis had more trouble and until the last year needed the junior version (which really is the same except that you don't hold cards in your hand so basically everyone knows what the kids have and can help out.

(and don't use Jonathon as a good gauge of understanding any card game. The boy has counted cards since he learned to play Go Fish.)

My girl's 8 now.

Jonathon sounds like he's on the fast track to Vegas. ;)
