It's a big day for Julia and her Civic Responsibilities!

- I voted this morning!

- I get to report for Jury Duty this afternoon. I've been summoned a couple of times before but never had to report, so I'm interested to see how this works.

Hope Jury Duty went well!

It turned out to be kind of a non-event. We got sworn in, watched a video, listened to the Jury Commissioner talk about the selection process, and then waited for the judge to call us. But we never got called because the defendant took a last-minute plea deal so they sent us all home.

I'm a little bummed I didn't get to do more, but my number has come up so often (this is the third time in 8 years of being eligible) that it's bound to happen again eventually!
