It's been a while since I've updated. Not much has changed, I guess. Life without school is weird and not weird. It's much the same as it used to be, except without that annoying list of looming deadlines. I still have my part time job, my mornings at the gym, my yoga class(es), and I'm finally returning to my internship after weeks and weeks ( Read more... )

I'm glad your mother's okay.

Looking forward to your Twilight rants. You're made of stronger stuff than I am. I got through the first two books and then halfway through the third, and then I just couldn't take it anymore. Oddly enough, I really like the movies though. They inject life into lifeless characters and create plot where there was none.

I've been told that the fourth book is quite different (and that as a result, a lot of fans more or less disowned it) so I'm interested to see what that's all about. And I'll have to watch the new movie. I thought the first was pretty laughable, but I hadn't read the book at that point, so I should probably re-watch it for comparison purposes.

I am very happy for your gushy happiness, I'm sure I can hear more about it tonight (AH I'M SO HAPPY I CAN SAY THAT!!!!)

Also.... I will excuse the Twilight because you are a library professional, and one must know thy enemy.

Hooray!!! Can't wait! :D

And yeah, a lot of people have just looked at me weirdly and asked "But why??" when I said I was reading Twilight. I want to do Young Adult work, so I'd better be familiar with what's big in that scene, if for no reason other than to be able to give better recommendations. The process is painful, but it's definitely a learning experience!
