Drabble: Green
I have something else to show off! :-D cressida0201 gave me a "Green" drabble challenge, and I couldn't come up with anything for a long long time, until something suddenly snapped in my head, and there, I had it!!

Green
Spring painted Ithilien in all shades of green.
Faramir watched the marching Orcs through the prickly intricate lace of a hawthorn bush, half-hidden by a tree trunk clad in dark ivy, his feet in the new springy grass. A few paces away, another Ranger crouched behind a tall moss-covered stump; yet another sat quietly in the rich crown of a pine tree, its every dark branch having grown a funny tip of a lighter hue.
The land itself grants us its blessing, sheltering us in return for our care, he thought.
And the first arrow flew off with a twang.
