I'm so glad she's getting out into the world on her own. Well, relatively, since she's taking Jack with her. But I like the thought of her taking her first steps without him.
Oh Doctor. You have a whole host of identity issues you need to work through before you can teach someone.
I'm glad to see someone agrees with me. My rational with her taking Jack is that she's used to working with someone now, but with her being relatively new at the Universe saving game (Though with her prior Earth saving experience it's more like going from the minor leagues to the major leagues to use a sports reference.) that she would want someone to back her up, but also someone that can take care of themselves and she doesn't have to worry about getting into enough trouble to get him killed.
Jack also I think, has enough awareness to step back and let Sarah Jane assume the mantle, but to be there to assist or yes, even stop her if she goes too far.
There is a sequel semi-plotted but I have other fic that is sitting in an unfinished state (In Exile and Life as it Happens) plus other ideas that have been hitting me over the head - so I don't know if the sequel will happen anytime soon, but since I've gotten back to writing.
I totally get it about having a bunch of other projects going. Good luck with all your writing endeavors! It's good that you're getting back into the swing of things.
