Oh, this is lovely. I'm just catching up on my bookmarks, and this was a treat I hadn't even remembered marking down. I love Kitty's concern, and how well she knows Illyana, and Illyana's cautious trust. They feel very realistic for young girls, and that's often very hard to pull off. Great work.

Thank you! Illyana's background is pretty awful, even by Marvel standards, and I thought Claremont portrayed a depressed, angry teenager really well. Kitty is very much not depressed or angry, and I'm glad their close and supportive friendship came across here.
