At least you made it to 8. My daughter is such a drama queen now, and has been since birth, that I fear for the pre-teen and teen years.

Hopefully she's just having an off day and gets back to her sweet self soon. :(

Does the drama start this early?

It must because I can't remember a time when I didn't have daily drama.

My daughter has thrown major fits over winter coats and lifejackets because she thinks they make her look "puffy". O_O I don't complain about my body, either, so I'm not quite sure where it comes from.

School and/or the media, most likely. ;/

I don't have too much drama (yet!) but my girls are getting more and more "concerned" about name brands and how they look, Hermione especially. She spends a lot of time doing her hair, making sure her accessories match her outfit (behavior which certainly doesn't come from me! :P), etc, to the point where she's forgetting too clean up after herself, make her bed and stuff like that. She's also starting to get a lot more sassy- we've entered into the eye-rolling stage. *rollseyes* :P

Kepp on loving her- the good natured girl will reappear eventually!
