In a conference and one of the topics is neurootology and they're talking about engineering mice. I don't know how you have the patience. I'm starting to doze :)
Heehee! It's harder to doze off when you're actually working with them and they're trying to bite you. ;-) Sounds like cool stuff! Are they trying to model different kinds of hearing loss?
See, actually working with them would have been more exciting. :)
They were talking about outer hair cell motility, and it's uniqueness to mammals. They did some ablasion of the outer cells, to see the decrease in amplification. It was really interesting, but not precisely practical to my everyday life. lol. It was just like being back in school. "This applies to me...how?"
