My Live Journal has been largely privatised, the post I've just made with photos will be public until I remember to make it private. It has become a necessary measure for various reasons, largely owing to slightly bizarre and idiotic people not respecting or understanding the concept of an online journal. Oh no! I am sorry to hear it's not working out so well for you with the whole online blogging thing. I would love to still be a part of your online world, if it's not too much hassle. You could always make a list of people who you trust to read your journal, I think Livejournal still lets you use lists and make posts only visible to one list?

I thought your last batch of photos were gorgeous, by the way! I am very envious. xxx.

Achk, it is largely a result of having my words used against me three separate times, it gets a little tiring when people are prepared to take things and many months throw them back in your face!

You will be completely fine to keep on reading my inane witterings :P I don't intend to stop anyone already on my friends list from reading my blog, I assume even when my entries are locked you can see them? It really is to stop those without LJ's reading.. It just allows me to control things a bit better I spose.

Thank you, it has been a busy but rather enjoyable few days and I actually remembered to take photos! I must make more of an effort to do so really, the girls grow so fast.

Ahh, I wasn't sure if you meant "private" private or "friends only" private. Phew! You post the most interesting stuff on my friends list (but shhh, don't tell the others) so I'd be sad to lose you!

I should take photos more too really, but they would probably just be of the meals I've eaten. I've had a bit of a crap weekend so far, really, as I worked yesterday and then had a black evening. Such is the nature of SAD, as I'm sure you're aware. I'm hoping that it will pass soon and not last all winter! I am going to make cupcakes today and go out for lunch to stave it off. I hope you are doing well aside from your LJ problems. xxx.

I've been friends-only for over 5 years now for similar reasons. Pain in the arse, but on the plus side, you'll get fewer spams and troll comments!

I've been friends only ever since someone commented on a post with large photos of scat which I opened when Faith was standing next to me. She was 4 I think.

Just go to Edit then select Friends Only

Yes, there is an option to make all future posts friends only by default, I think.

I don't know about that but there is a way of making all old posts friends only.
