Okay, okay, I know Chuck Heston died a couple of days ago and this is definitely not in good taste, but it is, you know, hilarious...

Since pretty much everyone's immediate reaction to the news was 'Hey, now we can get that gun off him', I don't know if we need worry too much about taste. (Plus this is LJ, where taste is arbitrary in any case.)

As someone else mentioned, my first thought was "now we can pull the gun out of his cold, dead hand". After the way he supported the right wing incursion here, I have little sympathy for him.

I should add that the vid was funny, too. :) Didn't mean to get all serious on you.

A big improvement on the original. Very nicely done.

It was the SLJ voice from the burning bush that killed me...

Yes, I laughed out loud at that one!

There's nothing wrong with bad taste humour, that's for sure. I've found plenty of things to laugh at while arranging my aunts funeral this week, including Mr fb's classic wrong number story while he was trying to track down a freind of my aunt's for me who's a female Reverend. He got a number for the local Bishop's office, told the person who he was trying to contact, and that she was a priest:

Person on Phone : Is she involed with the Little Sisters of Mercy?
Mr fb : No, she's an ordained priest.
Person on Phone : Are you sure she's a Roman Catholic?
Mr fb : Sorry, wrong number.

We howled laughing at that. My aunt would have loved it.
