On a cruise message board, I posted:
"I'm sailing to Mexico and Belize this March with my 21 year old boyfriend. We're trying to figure out exactly what I can and can't do. Will I be allowed in the bars with him if I'm not drinking? Unless you're going on a nonsmoking cruise, you should be able to smoke somewhere on the bout. You should be able to enter anywhere on the boat, since you're 18, and you should have Travis bring in the liquor.
Although, the liquor is usually done like this - you come onto the boat, through security, and then there's a desk that you check your liquor in at. Just look like you don't need to stop there and you should be fine just walking by. Don't get boxes for your liquors - you want to keep it looking as un-liquor as possible. Also, if you get stopped, only give them one or two bottles (whatever's showing) and pretend that's all you've got.
We brought shitloads of stuff in, and we only gave them 1, and that's cuz Alex clinked a bottle when setting it down - so he gave them the bottle that was visible, and on our merry way we went!

If I recall from spring trip, cigars aren't allowed in the regular area of the bars. And somebody mentioned the cigar room is 21+. That's a bit of a bummer.
Are there consequences if they somehow catch you trying to sneak it in? We might not buy any beyond what's for my parents, in which case I'd just check it, but I'm sure Travis would want to try to sneak it in if he ends up buying any for himself. He's been whining about the lack of bottles since we booked the damn thing.
