Spend the little bit of extra money and get an apple. It's worth it. Four years after I got my iBook, it still works just fine. You get a free iPod with your student discount, too! =)
Yeah, I don't game or download music or anything so just going online and word, etc. I watch movies on it sometimes but that's about it. Portability is a plus obviously.
The thing is i'm not really sure what that means in tech speak. The computer I had worked fine, it was a Compaq Presario v5000.
This is what I've got at Apple with the Student Discount for $949 MacBook, 13-inch, White Part Number: MB402LL/B 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 2x512MB 120GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW) Keyboard (English) / User's Guide Accessory kit
Don't really know what that means. Should I be looking for similiar specs on PCs to do what I want it to do?
Thanks for your help! (PS Good Job leading the class discussion on Thursday!)
