3-sentence fic, Steve/Natasha because IDK THAT'S WHAT MY BRAIN PICKED:
Trust isn't something either of them have ever been good at - a country can let you down just as quickly as a person can; the ground can sink under your feet before you can find something to hold onto. But after everything they've seen, everything they've done, Steve knows that whoever Natasha might pretend to be, she's someone he can trust. He knows, sometimes, that's all he can ask for - and that's enough.
