You're a genius, you know that? A simple hurt-comfort story would have been more than enough for me to be really, really happpy and here you've written a deeply emotive story examining the relationships that exist between our three major characters by exploring the relationships they share with family (or didn't have the chance to share in Kirk's case, and Bones too, when you think about it) And that's a really long sentence - which goes to show how thrilled I am about this story

Thanks so much! This is actually my second trek reboot fic. This one was a little easier than the first. Maybe after the second movie I'll find the motivation to do more.
