As Ianto predicted, no one notices when the tall man steps out of a coffee shop with a tiny pregnant woman on his arm.

Teyla may notice the cold, though.

"My car's not far," Ianto says.

Teyla does indeed notice the cold, but she's willing to brave it.

"Oh!" She says, glancing around her with wide eyes. Cardiff is the biggest city she's ever been in. "You have a car?"

She can definitely brave the cold for a car ride.

"All right."

Familiar as she may be with the concept, she still reaches for his arm again as the elevator starts to move.

"Oh," she says in surprise. "I...you can feel it moving."

"Yes, sorry. It's on a pulley system. We haven't reached transporter levels yet."

It's a short ride.

"That is quite all right," Teyla says softly. The look on her face should be a good indication that she really rather thinks it was brilliant.

And apparently she was not the only one. As she steps off the elevator, she stops and presses a hand to her side, wincing just a little.

Ianto watches her, worried. "You can sit in my flat," he reassures her. "Put your feet up and--well, if you need a doctor the one I know best has terrible bedside manner but lots of knowledge and experience. So. Um."

"It is nothing," she assures him. "He is merely kicking."

And then, mostly because she wants to see if the idea unnerves him as much as it had John, she adds, "Would you like to feel?"

"The baby kicking?"

His face does several things, subtly.

"Certainly, yes." His palm hovers over her belly.

She smiles and takes his hand, pressing it to her belly, low on the right side.

"Dr. Keller says he will be a...soccer star."

Ianto chuckles. "Well," he says softly, fascinated. "Isn't that something.

"Soccer's a game you play mostly by kicking. Over here we call it football."

"Yes. They play it in Atlantis at times."

She grins when she sees the expression on his face.

He smiles and removes his hand. "Isn't Atlantis a city on water? Where could they play a decent game of football?"

He takes her elbow to lead her to his flat.

"There are several wide, flat piers that are often used for such games. John uses them for...the other football? Whenever he can get enough people together."

"American football, I assume." He unlocks his door and holds it open for her.

It's small and tidy and clearly the home of someone who isn't there much.

It reminds her vaguely of Rodney's quarters--though perhaps a bit tidier--which she supposes is appropriate.

"Yes, I believe that is the sport. I confess I do not entirely understand it."

"Neither do I." He hangs his coat and puts the satchel on the kitchen table. "So, how do we set this up?"
