OOM: Ianto and John in Cardiff

If anyone notices that one man went through the door into the coffee shop and two come out a moment later, they say nothing about it.

Ianto will check the CCTV later, anyway. Just to be sure.

"Tailor first?" he says to Constantine. He's still holding his hand.

John looks around and grins. "So, tell me where we are. Are we far from your flat or where you work?" He follows Ianto's lead as they walk. "And what year is this again?"

The moment they step outside the shop, John lights up. "The best part is I never have to go back again. If I want a new kit, I can ask you to pop down and ask Mr Theotokis to run me up a set. He's a laugh." He cuts a sideways glance at Ianto and smiles. "He was just this side of asking me to declare my intentions toward you. You do collect protectors."

"He knew my father, that's all." He adds with a glance at John, "I think in Milliways it's just the cheekbones."

"It's more than that, and you know it." John runs his hand over Ianto's face and brushes Ianto's lips with his thumb. "Cheeky."

The word comes out in a low rumble as John tilts his head and kisses him, deep and dirty.

Ianto laughs against his mouth and holds his face as they kiss.

John takes his time; he's playing his mouth against Ianto's, almost licking the laugh out of him. When he finally pulls away with a low satisfied, "mmmmmm," he smiles into Ianto's eyes and says, "We should get out of the rain that's bound to start any moment."

"Do you want to see my flat?" Ianto says softly. "It has a roof. Vital when it's about to rain."

"Yeah," John says, "I want to see your flat." Still smiling, he leans his face away and takes a drag off his smoke. "I hear it's very tidy."

"But the bed is big," Ianto says and takes his hand again to lead him up the road. "And it musses beautifully."

John lets Ianto lead him home.

By the time they reach Ianto's flat, it's raining.

They hurry up the stairs to get out of the weather. And frankly, Ianto thinks it's a pity he has to take his hands off John to unlock the door. Such a hassle, keys.

"Very tidy," Ianto says as he opens the door. "And probably not particularly cozy but it's home."

"Don't bother with modesty," John says, ducking inside. "I'm sure it's brilliant."

Keys are indeed a hassle. Especially when there's someone behind you running his hand over your arse. Just sayin'.

It's more utilitarian than brilliant: it's obviously a place where more changing clothes occurs than things like sleeping and reading. Ianto takes off his coat and hangs it on a coat rack, and reaches for John's.

"Make yourself at home. Do you want something to drink?"

John hands over his coat and looks around. It's nice little place, obviously the home of someone who has far better things to do than sit around at home. It's familiar in that way. "A cuppa would be brilliant, thanks." He finds a chair and sits down.

Ianto squeezes his shoulder and goes into the kitchen to start the kettle.

John settles back in the chair. He reaches into his pocket, pulls out his packet of cigarettes and fiddles with it a moment before he puts it back where it was. He calls into the kitchen, "How long have you lived here?"
