Slugger stands nearby (possibly favoring one leg a little) and watches.]

[It makes him feel a little better. Death, may look suddenly, not as old as he is, that would be impossible to comprehend. But...older. He doesn't look up.]

[He shrugs.] They were here when I got up. I thought maybe you sent them.

[Just eying Death. He knows something is up but he doesn't know what.]

[Something is very much up. He'll just pat a few more kitty heads before walking towards the door. Most of the cats follow him.]

[Slugger looks down, watching the cats move past him.]

[A pause before he goes into the house.]
