A small batch today. I wanted to try out new techniques (actually using text, textures, etc). Whether or not I pulled them off, that's a different story. To those that requested, those will be posted sometime in the next couple of days. Haven't forgotten about you. =o)

Do you mind if I ask what font was used to Vanessa in the first one? These are beautiful, and I seriously contemplated using them, but I only use Carrie icons right now :)

... That only-Carrie icon thing may have to change... It takes me 5 minutes to pick an icon to comment with!

Thanks! The font is from the Babysitters Club Font Pack, and the particular one is Jessie's Handwritting. If you can't find it anywhere, let me know and I'll upload it for you.

And omg! I know! I swear, sometimes I spend more time picking an icon for a comment than I do writing the comment.

Thank you.

And please, you're not a bother/annoying me at all.

It is a tricky texture to use. In this case though, I used my Ashley Olsen coloring tutorial on the actual icon (Alexis). And then I set the texture to Multiply, I didn't like the way it looked so I brought it so it was right above the base (instead of ontop of all the layers)and set the opacity to 70-ish.

In other cases with that texture, I duplicate it and then set it to Overlay/Softlight so that it lightens it up and doesn't make the icon too yellow when I set it to Darken/Multiply (for this, you have to do it before you set it on the icon - it needs to be a flattened). You can also play with levels too. Then again, you can just Invert it so it's a Negative Image and set it to Screen (icon 13).

Hope I helped!
