I'm not sure if this is a stupid question, but is there a sort of generally-accepted pseudo-canon for Nathan's past? Like when he joined the navy, when he started work, when he met Heidi, etc. Do we even know how long he's been with Heidi? Gah

Oh, I wondered about the online comics! I keep meaning to read those.

Yeah, I know it's kind of up to me if it hasn't been mentioned in the show, it just makes me weirdly anxious for some reason, like the whole fandom might have this really specific way of seeing things. Which must never happen, but still. :/ I'll probably just end up working something out.

That's okay! :) Yeah, I probably will build my own canon for it. I just never do that for fics because it makes me nervous, I don't know why! But I think I'll just have to go for it. XD

Well, my personal canon is pretty much The Making of Nathan Petrelli xD But really, like the others said, you can do pretty much anything you want, no one's going to judge you for it. Maybe try to get a couple of different schemes in your head and then tell me and/or Fiore about it, if you're really unsure, so we can tell you which one's better and if there's something that doesn't ring true to the characters or something like that, mh? *huggles*

Haha, yes, I thought it might be! I'm going to re-read that just to get a better idea of the timescale, I think. I'm actually writing a totally different fic today (*hides*) but I'll definitely keep trying out ideas for the Petrellicest and see how it goes. I'll let you know if I start struggling again, hahaha.
