OK, I don't know if any of you know who Noel Fielding and Simon Amstell are, but Noel's being a guest team captain on Simon's pop quiz panel show Never Mind The Buzzcocks" at the moment, and for the past few days I've been really wanting to slash them ( Read more... )

Well, never having heard of Noel before, but having seen an episode of NTB before (the one with John Barrowman =D) I think Simon is one of the bottomest bottoms I've come across. But he is adorable. =D

However, I'm liking the idea of Noel being on the bottom, but still being in charge, or in control, not necessarily in a dominant sense, but you know...his influence is greater, or something. Do you know what I mean? Unsure!Simon could be done so well, especially with the added twist of him topping.

Thoughts?

Lol, I love that episode. "You've out-gayed me, Barrowman!"

Aw, I know, bless him.

God, thank you so much for replying by the way, I've been driving myself crazy trying to make this work in my head. Every time I imagined it one way or the other it just seemed wrong. *sigh*

I think I do understand what you mean, and I can see it working too. To me, Noel seems the most likely to be willing to 'switch' his usual role, but I just cannot imagine him as a top. And for some reason, it does seem easier with Simon, especially because--as you said--he'd be all nervous and unsure. And I get the idea he thinks Noel is much cooler than him. You know? So like, he'd be trying to please him and doing something he's not used to...

It's weird, I've honestly never been so unsure about a pairing before. Usually it's so easy to label people, even if they're ones you can imagine switching or whatever. But this is almost impossible! *sigh*

YES! It was hilarious. =D

He's so...I wish I had my own Simon Amstell. =D *squishes him*

The only time I've had this sort of problem is trying to decide whether I prefer Remus or Sirius on top. I eventually decided that I didn't care, as long as they were screwing, lol. =D

BAH. You're the only person so far who's given it a go. I did ask my cousin, haha, and I think I thoroughly confused her, but she said pretty much the same thing as you.

I want a Simon Amstell too! Ah, I love him. I love how he can get away with being so rude to people just by making a joke out of it and being his adorable little self.

Oh, I've totally had that problem too! Every time I thought I preferred Sirius on top, I'd read a fic where he was a bottom and I'd change my mind, and it would just go back and forth until I came to the exact same decision as you did. :D As long as they're screwing, we're happy.

Everyone at college watches The Mighty Boosh XD I've never seen it, though it's meant to be really good. May have to give it a try.

Ooh, Simon! Below the belt! He comes out with some right comments, doesn't he? My dad sits there tutting at the TV when he says stuff like that, haha.

ANYWAYS! In an attempt to answer your question of who would be bottom, I would probably say... Simon. I don't know why; I can totally see your problem though 'cause they both seem like bottom's lol. But, yeah, I'd probably say Simon. Hope that helps :)

It's kind of an aquired taste because it's so completely mental, but I think it's awesome. I've actually not seen much of the first and second series...I dunno if it'd be better to start at the beginning or not, haha.

LOL I know! He always manages to make me laugh in this kind of shocked way, like half 'I can't believe he just said that!' and half 'That's hilarious!' He's said much worse, though. XD

Ooh, it's interesting to get that answer because the other two people who I've talked about it with have said the other way round. It is annoying, because he's such a bottom, but to me...so is Noel. BAH.

Haha, oh, I love insane comedy; it's hilarious! I will have to watch it just to see what all the fuss is about XD

Yeah, I completely know what you mean; but, yeah, did you here the joke he made the week after last, I think, about David Cammeron and Iraqian children? :/

Hehe, trust me to be awkward :P You could try it both ways and see which you like best?
