Haha, I know exactly what you mean! I don't think I've ever written fic for reality TV before, it was an interesting experience. And it definitely helped to make it feel more real - I mean, a lot of the dialogue in this is lifted from the show, and therefore real life.

BUT ANYWAY. THIS IS AWESOME. I've skimmed through what fic I could find, and none of it felt real, but this does, so much. I can hear them and see all of this happening, and I love the bit of backstory we get, too.

I think part three is my favorite, because watching that bit again...it's like, this is what we were missing the first time around. Everything fits so well and THE WAY THEY STARE AT EACH OTHER WHAT ELSE ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO THINK? And I lol'd so hard at that UST being why John slaps him.

Also the crossdressing. Because they were so weird about that, even for them. IMO Edward's the more feminine of them, but he was just a little too into/good at that for it to be innocent.

I KNOW! Before I started watching, I saw a bunch of caps/gifs of various moments on Tumblr and it was like each one was based around a specific kink and I was like THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSING? BRB CATCHING UP.

I'm so glad it felt real to you. I haven't found any fic that felt quite right to me either, but it's actually so hard - I'm so used to incest fic being all about the guilt and wrongness, and Jedward just don't have that. Like, at all. Which in some ways is refreshing! But yeah, their voices are difficult, because I had to get this unique balance of naive and kinky.

Part three is my favourite too. XD It was what inspired me to write the fic in the first place, actually, because that entire diary room scene made NO SENSE unless I put some UST behind it. They are so WEIRD throughout that entire thing, I don't even know what to think. ...I just watched it again and SERIOUSLY, WHAT IS WITH THAT? WHAT ARE THEY? There is definitely something going on there.

Yay, thank you!! I'm so glad it felt real - I'm so used to having to put a lot of guilt/angst into incest for it to come across that way, but with Jedward that probably would have made it seem less like them. The fact that all of it was based around Actual Real Life Events did help me, though.

The innocence alongside the kinkiness is such an interesting thing, I agree. I feel like they're so sort of childlike that at first they just think "that would be fun!!" and it's only afterwards that they realise it's a sexual reaction. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it. ♥

Yay! :D Have you seen the episode of Buzzcocks that they were on? They were on Noel's team and even though everyone spent the entire episode taking the piss out of them (not surprisingly!) it was pretty good. Noel seemed to feel a little more sympathy for them than anyone else did, but I might be projecting. XD
