This is the first thing I've written that's under 2000 words in like...approximately forever. It's weird, I always figured if I wrote something like this it would be more one-sided and probably Shane/Nancy-but the way Silas's relationship with her is portrayed at the moment is just so fascinating to me. Therefore: incestuous fanfiction

This is just so perfectly... disturbing. I mean, this is how disturbing their relationship is in the show. It's seriously like watching an episode of Weeds. I couldn't read this if anyone else had written it though.

That's just so... Nancy! She would totally think this was a solution. She has no clue how to be a mother. Her child has to crawl into her arms like he does at the end of this fic before she gets that they just need her to be there, but she never is till it's too late. And this fic is the ultimate 'too late'. Like, it's definitely over, she can't ever be his mother now

Hell, I love everything you write, and even though I haven't read your fics about the people/shows I don't personally like, I know I'd still love them if I did because it kind of doesn't matter who the subjects of the stories are in your fics. But I'm saving the fics you've written about the people/shows I don't like for when I'm having serious withdrawal from your fics about Narnia/Weeds etc. And yes, 'liked' is the right word, actually 'loved' is!

This is - fantastic. I don't generally tend to find incest jarring but it somehow was here, just very raw and confused and these lines of morality blurring but as strange as it was it felt really true to their relationship? Ugh, great job.

Thank you so much. ♥ I think it's good that it was jarring. I'm pretty much densensitized to incest at this point, but writing it kind of made me feel that way - I don't know if it's just because I haven't written mother/son before or because of the general vibe of their relationship.

Anyway, I'm glad you thought it felt true to them, and I'm glad you liked it in general.

I loved it. I think you handled it really well. These two really are dysfunctional. I wonder how Shane would be in Silas's place. I almost think he'd probably want it because he's kinda a few screws loose, but Silas has always, at least imho, been the more level headed of the two brothers. Really great piece. Well done.

I definitely think Shane would want it. I mean, he masturbated to pictures of her. And I think, due to having a few screws loose like you said, he'd be less likely to angst over it and he might not think of it as SUCH a big deal. I find it easier to imagine Silas/Nancy actually HAPPENING, though, because I don't think she sees him as her son so much anymore, but she's still a mother to Shane (to a certain extent).
