Aww, yay! I guess it's worth checking back at the moment, lol. It's (obviously) become a weird fascination of mine too, and it sucks that there's so little out there in terms of actual discussion. I will happily take the blame. XD

I totally agree, there's definitely sexual tension there. What's so interesting is that they don't see that themselves! It's almost like they REFUSE to see it, because they don't want to deal with what that would mean? Or something?? I don't even know. But I mean, the positions they get into onstage, regardless of whether it actually has any sort of sexual effect on their bodies...it's definitely sexual. Their denial of that is endlessly fascinating, lol.

I'm glad you're interested in Kate's involvement too, and omg I love the idea of her being the bridge between them. I've been toying with the idea of writing a Jamie/Kate/Alison threesome, and the way I saw it working was for Kate to interact sexually with both of them at once. Sort of willingly being that bridge? Ooooh, yeah, that's a really interesting point about sex making the relationship TOO intense, even for them. Because I mean, it's crazy intense as it is, but they can cope with it, you know? But they might think that if they had sex, or even kissed, it might just double all of the feelings. It makes sense, too, because when they first met she was so young and the age difference probably seemed a lot more of a factor, and so he just didn't think of her in a sexual way, and by the time he might have started to, their relationship was already too important to risk anything. Risk ruining it, or risk making it even MORE important and therefore dangerous

I kind of still do, too. She's just...really sort of effortlessly awesome. The same way Alison is, really. And her involvement is so interesting. The only way I can make sense of the three of them actually genuinely getting along all the time is by deciding she's sleeping with both of them. ;)
