You ever had one of those days where you can't get an idea out of your mind and you don't know whether to give into the urge and just do something you might never get a chance to do again, or chicken out because you're too scared to do it ( Read more... )

You would NOT believe how much of a spaz I am being today about all of this.

Did you have all the packages over there? You can pay something like £300 to do the whole VIP thing and meet the cast who are out and about, get goodies and beat the queues, but that's A LOT of money. I don't know if things were the same or different there.

My opinion? Go. I bought a ticket for myself as soon as I could (I went to my first class of the day and sat with a laptop, trying to discreetly fumble for my debit card to purchase a ticket when I should've been taking notes... >_>) Yeah, I was a little bummed at first when I realized that I wouldn't be able to sit with any of my friends who got tickets, but honestly? It was still worth it.

When the show actually starts and the cast comes out, you end up standing and screaming and singing along with everyone else. You get so wrapped up in the show that you don't feel alone.

Also, I know that Puck-mun above mentioned meeting up with me - and trust me, I felt super nervous about meeting her in person and wondering if I was gonna come off like super dorky, but we actually had a great time chilling together before the doors opened for the show. ALSO SHE'S A LUCKY BITCH AND MET CHORD AND DARREN AFTER THE CONCERT Ahem ( ... )

I really want to go, I know I'll regret it if I don't, but I'm just like UGH SUPER HYPED UP AND NERVOUS. London is a scary place when you're on your own and I've never been to the 02 Arena or anything like that, plus it'd be finding a hotel room as I don't think trains would run that late from London to where I live. (I'm checking right now) Or maybe see if someone would go halves with me like Puck!mun suggested.

Ugh, I'm stressing over this and it's just nuts. People can only say no to meeting up and I shouldn't take it personally because we don't know one another. Ugh, I should just suck it up LOL.

Trust me, I understand - my mother's been a bit overprotective me as I've grown up, so I didn't officially take the train or anything by myself until....this April. My second time traveling alone (to the city) was for Glee Live, actually. I slept over a friend's house after the concert, but it doesn't look like that's an option for you.

See, I've done all that. I lived away for 6 years and did the whole uni thing and lived in a place I didn't know (just 1/2 an hour from Londond actually) so I've travelled to, from and through london a lot alone. I guess it's the other parts. The waiting around and being on my own, trying to get a hotel room and getting there after the show. THAT's the bit that freaks me out some.

I'm a bloody grown woman and shouldn't act this way.
