Idols on the Blue Carpet
Work was nuts. The press event for The American Idol Experience was today, so the park (Disney's Hollywood Studios) was swarmed with people and press and VIPS.
I got out of work in enough time to get a spot about 3 people back from the barricade on the Blue Carpet, which was all down Hollywood Boulevard (the main "road" inside Studios). I had no idea who was actually going to come by in the motorcade/parade, aside from the season 7 Davids, and I lucked out that the spot I got was pretty much right where their cars paused to do their big taped interview that everyone could hear. So I might be on TV 1 or 27 times? \o/
I ended up seeing Ryan Seacrest, Paula Abdul and 25 former Top 10/12 Idols, including all of the winners except Kelly. They said she was there, but they ran out of time so they had her skip the Blue Carpet and go in the back. :-(

I forget basically everything they said in their interviews. Hmm, what do I remember? Ace cut all his hair off and he's actually kid of hot. Carly Smithson still annoys me a lot. Mandisa lost 70 pounds! \o/ Also, she was adorably excited to get to the end of the motorcade so she could meet Fantasia. DAVID COOK, UNGH. David Archuleta is even more of a fuzzy bunny that I want to put in my pocket in real life than on TV.
And Ryan. I think I need an entire separate paragraph for Ryan. For the interviews, everyone else just like, stayed in their perch on the back of their convertible's car seats and leaned down/sideways for the interview. But Ryan like, jumped across to hug the girl and then slid down into the seat and got all snuggly-ish with her and gossiped about her shoes and stuff. UGH. In his case, the camera actually subtracts from his gay. I AM BOGGLED AND ENCHANTED. ♥

The Blue Carpet started back around that corner. Which is coincidentally the entrance I use to walk into the park from where I park my car so getting to/from work was FUN today, as you might imagine. Pic taken after the motorcade ended, so most of the people are gone.
Standing in the same spot, looking up the carpet towards the Sorcerer's Hat and the attraction itself. Afterwards, so the crowd is dispersing and I am attempting to get to my car.
In related news, I finally watched last night's DVR-ed episode while typing this up. DANNY GOKEY, WTF. TATIANA WHATSHERFACE FTLOSE. Ugh, Idol. Why am I so ridiculous for this show? ♥
