continued from hereAdrian returns the once-over with a bold look of his own, definitely more open now that he doesn't have to concern himself with the eyes of the crowd. He didn't go the party with the intention of picking someone up, but he's not sorry it happened. Adrian's usual methods back home tend to involve certain discreet services he has ( Read more... )

Jack presses the tip of his tongue against his teeth, just briefly, at the touch. His own hand moves to meet Adrian's - not to push it away, just to keep it from wandering for a few more seconds (yes, his restraint is that tenuous) while he closes and locks the door behind them.

"I thought so," he replies once it's shut, his eyes on the man beside him rather than the decor. You can guess which he's talking about. As soon as they're cut off from the rest of the world, Jack closes the distance between them quickly, patience worn thin. His fingers curl around the front of Adrian's suit jacket, using the material to pull the other man in for a kiss.

Adrian would have made the first move if he had to, but to be honest he's pleased Jack takes care of for him. The young man has enough contacts in the city to ruin him if this had all turned out to be an elaborate set-up. The sigh exhaled into the kiss is as much relief that he's read Jack correctly as it is relief at finally breaking the tension sparking between them.

Sliding one hand into the hair at the back of Jack's head, Adrian deftly unbuttons their coats with the other, first Jack's and then his own. Without pulling away, he turns them both and attempts to move toward the nearest wall, the aim being to use it to keep Jack close while Adrian divests himself of overcoat and jacket.

It's a sign of how far gone Jack is that he didn't consider the possibility of being led on. It will occur to him later, certainly, but he's so used to having body guards around to keep him out of immediate danger - of blackmail or anything else - that he simply assumes there isn't any danger to be had. The real danger is what happens afterward, and he's very determinedly not thinking about that.

Jack give a brief playful resistance but lets Adrian lead them back, making a small noise when his back finds the wall. "Pushy," he manages to tease between kisses. This is not usually where he finds himself, though it sounds like he minds approximately not at all. Once his own coat is off, his hands move to loosen Adrian's tie - and tug at that, too, to pull Adrian back in. (Look, he likes having a tether.) As soon as he's done with it he moves on to the buttons of Adrian's shirt, thankful his own is significantly less complicated.

There's absolutely real danger, but Jack is lucky in this -- Adrian only uses what he knows about other people on a personal level, as a means of manipulating them to get what he wants. And exposing Jack publicly would do nothing but put himself in a precarious position.

The brief resistance earns a smile. Adrian would never force the issue, but since it's so obviously meant in fun, he has no qualms about exercising a little extra strength to get Jack where he wants him. He doesn't, however, resist the tug at his tie or the unbuttoning of his shirt. "I'm used to getting what I want," he murmurs in reply, and though the tone is light, the sentiment is absolutely true. As he mimics the other man's actions by pulling at the buttons of Jack's shirt, Adrian transfers his oral attentions to the line of Jack's neck (although he's careful not to leave any marks that would draw attention and suspicion later).
