Fandom: Pirates of the Caribbean; Sparrington

Rating: PG-13

Disclaimer: I have no claim on POTC or the lovely characters who populate it, even if it seems that James Norrington has, somewhat disconcertingly, made himself quite at home in my head with no apparent plans to leave. Jack Sparrow has been dropping by at random ( Read more... )

I'm enjoying this tale and James's brother is an intriguing character! I wonder what James has up his sleeve. Looking forward to more!

I had a bit of fun with Lawrence, for all that I had not originally intended to have him appear in the story instead of just being vaguely mentioned, but Elizabeth invited him in and this is what came of it. James has a few things up his sleeve, and so does Jack, I promise. There will be more soon.

AHAHAH!! Ten points for "flagitiously"!

Coffee-spray moment:
For the love of God, do not send any more bedsheets you shameless hussy.

And my favorite:
The way that James had explained his personal form of freedom...it said much about where the man was inflexible: his honor, his loyalty to those who relied upon him, and his sincere wish to do what was right by him in the only way that he knew how.

*happy sigh* ♥

I was hoping to get 'flagitiously' in there from a different direction than usual. It is my personal mission in life to continuously catch people off-guard.

And I love that line. I laughed as I wrote it, and it still makes me snicker madly whenever I reread it. Also: causing someone to spray their drink due to laughter = victory in my book. Yay for victory.

Glad you like it.

Pardon me for not leaving a comment to the previous chapter, but I just had to read on after that evil cliffhanger at the end... which is actually all your fault, so why am I even apologising? ;) No, but seriously, this is great stuff. I just love your approach on the characters, they're authentic and most entertaining, and they practically come to life on the pages. I'm also very impressed with the original character you included here, and the hilarious verbal sparring between James and his brother. It was so much fun to read, and now I'm most intrigued about how it will all continue. :D

On the subject of cliffhangers, may I just say...Bwahahaha.

Thank you muchly, darling; as a characterization addict, such compliments are always welcome and do indeed brighten my day. The character of James' brother was quite fun both to invent and to write, and so I'm glad that you like him, too.
