From the given context, in part two I believe your use of transvestite is incorrect. I believe you mean transgender. (Transvestite is about clothing, not gender identity.)

I'm aware of the difference between the terms; I was trying to leave the impression that both were present at the wedding, rather than just a few transgendered persons, or a few transvestites attending respectively. Modeled after my group of friends, really. Sorry if there was any confusion there.

This has been head!canon for me since the first ep. For me, John's not quiet because he's stupid. He's quiet because he's always running his self-awareness of who he is against his awareness of what is and isn't normal, and determining where the balance lies at any given moment.
