Title: Ordo ab Chao

Fandom: Pirates of the Caribbean; Sparrington

Rating: NC-17

Disclaimer: I have no claim on POTC or the lovely characters who populate it, even if it seems that James Norrington has, somewhat disconcertingly, made himself quite at home in my head with no apparent plans to leave. Jack Sparrow has been dropping by at random ( Read more... )

Awww, I love those moments between the two when realisation dawns and they come to term with things, so to speak. :)

Also, I really like Amina, her liveliness (and perceptiveness *g*) and that she's just a bit like Elizabeth.

And then that little moment, when Jack and James think of the Caribbean, how it had been back then, all those memories... it's a lovely image.

Very nice! :)

Thank you very much, darling. And I do, too. So damn fun to write, especially with these two.

I think you'll like the next bit I have planned for this little AU. Not that I mean to tease... except that I do, because I am evil, you see. It's going to have a bit more with Amina, and part of it makes that little flashback-moment even prettier.

Oh, you're very welcome. :)

Any really, you mean tease! :P I'm looking forward to whatever you've got up your sleeve.

What I forgot to mention last time: I like those Latin phrases. Good memories - I loved my Latin class back when I was in school (great teacher and my classmates weren't bad, either). *happysigh*

Bwahaha. My sleeve does seem to have this here. Hm.

And thank you! I took Latin classes as well; although I learned very little, I had a cool teacher who gave such memorable lectures as "Pimp Daddy Zeus". These Latin phrases are one's I've got in my giant collection of nifty quotes, almost all of which I've stumbled across on the internet.

I'm so very glad you decided to continue this. I enjoyed meeting James' "niece," and thought it was fun that James had someone looking out for him.

Also, I like that Jack and James are slowly realizing they're good for each other over the long term, not just for a short fling. It's... always interesting to see two such independent men coming to that conclusion, and you do it wonderfully.

Thank you muchly, m'dear. Amina was terribly fun to write, as was her appraisal of Jack, so I'm glad you liked her.

Those are indeed my favorite moments in this story. It's good to hear that I at least manage it well. ^ ^

I am so happy to see more of this universe! (And thank you for putting the boys in Venice ♥)

Thank you also for "pawky."

I love the idea that Jack and James have crossed paths before, knew (know?) some of the same people, but never came face to face until Greece. I love how comfortable they've become together and the fact that each could be one of the only men alive who could frighten the other.

Amina's cool :-)

My favorite bit is that flash-memory of the Caribbean. Intense and vivid, the way you wrote that. NICE!

Oh, and this too: Jack stepped closer, wrapping his arms around James' neck. "Mayhap I’ll tell you later, love." He leaned up and caught James' lips, feeling James' arms eagerly encircle his waist as the ex-commodore kissed him back. The kiss was slow, thorough, and flavored with the Venetian night.

*happysigh*

You're more than welcome, darling. I do love Venice, and "pawky" is probably a result of the Holmes-Fic I've been off-and-on reading lately.

I was fond of the idea that they've had several near-misses, where they might have stumbled across each other in the past but the timing was a little off. I'm glad you like it, too.

Isn't she? ^_^

Thank you again, m'dear, both for your compliments and your marvelous help.

“Keep hold, then, love,” he said, and began pushing himself into James’ body, slow enough to drive them both nearly mad with impatience. “For as long as you’ll have me, keep hold,” Jack panted, scarcely louder than a whisper, against James’ cheek.

Just gorgeous, hon.

It's always a joy to see another tale from you and this is a lovely addition! :)

I've always liked the idea of seeing how eternal life would work out when interacting with people who could conceivably know you (or get to know you). Not to mention that it's nice seeing how an outsider would view them (plus I like Amina, she's spunky!).

Then she saw James’ smile as he held out his hand to Jack: sharp and predatory, but also warm and more sincere than Amina had ever seen from him.

I love that they're really opposite sides of the same coin - the stuff about them being the only ones who could frighten the other is great.

Good show!

Many thanks, darling. I've got a minor obsession with quasi-immortal characters, so wandering down this path of examination is one of my favorite pastimes; I'm glad that you liked it, as well as Amina's sass, and my other habitual-wandering-place: complementary traits and balance-of-power themes.
