Fandom: Pirates of the Caribbean; Sparrington

I watch too much standup comedy. The word "Equestrian" causes an audio clip of Lewis Black to play in the back of my head, talking about horse shows.
"Equestrian, by the by...that's the gayest word in the English language. In fact, I think that 'Brokeback Mountain' should've been called 'Two Equestrians'."
The fact I'm writing slash, these days...yeah, not helping. Bwahaha.

Some people get photographic memory; my brain is an ipod.

Thank you very much, m'darling, as always. I'm glad you like it.

James wrapped one arm around Jack and used the other for the horse’s reins

What a lovely image that makes. :-) Thanks for the new chapter!

Mmmmmmmmmmmh. I feel really horrible for pointing out the gorgeous smut here because you're in the process of writing a masterpiece in every possible way and I love all aspects of it, but dude, you have such a talent at writing hot smut, I just have to give it a special mention. Yum, yum, yum.

And if gorgeous smut weren't everything I could hope for in a fic, this one also has James rescuing Jack from certain death, Jack not being able to do something for once (i.e. riding horses *snicker snicker*), and more awesome bantering between the two that made me grin so much I'll probably have a cramp in my jaw tomorrow.

And! There's this line:
Jack looked like a cat who had gotten the canary, the cream, and feline worship reinstated in Egypt.
Which is not just the most hilarious way of putting it, it's also so very very easy to imagine with Jack. :D

Can't wait to read the next part! :D

And to think, before discovering Sparrington, I'd never written slash. Once more, my dear, you boost my ego, and not just for calling my work a masterpiece, for all that that made me blush. I'm glad to hear that I have a talent for smut, if only because I do one day hope to make my living as a writer and, well, I tend to wind up writing with more than a touch of romantic and/or sexual tension no matter what I do. I think so far, however, that the best such scene I've written is probably in Part V of The World Behind the World.

The feline worship in Egypt line is not quite one I can altogether claim, as I've run across it in a few other places: Niel Gaiman, Sarah Brennan, and in a few places across DeviantArt. I do think, however, that it fits Jack Sparrow particularly well.

And the next part is mostly done,

strange, the post cut off.

I meant to say, "And the next part is mostly done, once my lovely beta is done fixing my typos."
