In addition to reading all the books, I also listen to the audiobooks repeatedly on my ipod/computer. I remember clearly one day a few summers ago when I was working on something in the basement at my mom's old house, listening to either book 5 or book 6, when I finally heard the words "'Right," said Fred." This tiny moment of sheer joy has implanted itself onto my memory.

still the best icon ever. Did it have the Glee part in it when you sent it to me? :D

Also, "'Right,' said Fred" is amazing and really unintentionally tragic. :( Freddddd :((((

Which leads to another one of my favorite quotes:

"Give her hell from us, Peeves."

"After several long moments - or it might have been half an hour - or possibly several sunlit days - they broke apart."

God, such joy. I think Half Blood Prince is still my favorite book.

"I told her it's a Hungarian Horntail," said Ginny, turning a page of the newspaper idly. "Much More Macho"

"Thanks," said Harry, grinning. "And what did you tell her Ron's got?"

"A Pygmy Puff, but I didn't say where."

"Don't let it worry you," said Ron. "It's me. I'm extremely famous."

Okay, I just really love the last paragraph of the first chapter of the Philosopher's Stone. idk, guys, it might be my favourite part of the whole book.

I don't have PS on hand, sadly (I'm only carrying DH with me), so I can't remember the entire paragraph, but it ends with something along the lines of:

Harry Potter rolled over in his blankets, not knowing he was special, not knowing he was different, not knowing he would be awoken in a few hours my the sound of his aunt's scream as she opened the door. He couldn't know that at that very moment people across the country were raising their glasses and saying in hushed voices, "To Harry Potter -- the Boy-Who-Lived!"

a;lskdjfs I still remember going to see the first harry potter movie and just silently sitting my seat and freaking the hell out at the end of that first chapter/scene because MY BABY WAS ALL GROWED UP AND ON THE BIG SCREEN. And, you know, I was like 13 or so at the time?
