[Monday finds Hitsugaya in several places across town. People seem to be back to normal -- or what passes for normal in this place -- and those messages that are all apologies he sees sprinkled in the journals throughout the day yesterday point in that direction ( Read more... )

[Never mind the twitch, Hughes. Hitsugaya looks up from where he's planted himself by the fountain and raises an eyebrow. Who is this rather enthusiastic man?]

Afternoon. [And the look he gives clearly says Can I help you? At least, that's what Hitsugaya thinks. For Hughes, it might just be a blank, grumpy look.]

[ Blank and grumpy, hm? That's a familiar look to be faced with :|a ]

You looked very out of sorts over here, you know~ which is completely understandable, of course, given recent events. Luckily, I happen to have the remedy to that problem!

[Oh, good. A remedy. Blank and grumpy becomes dubious.]

I'm not sure I want to know.

[Embarrassing and awkward? Maaa.

Worse than waking up on the floor with two of your fellow lieutenants in their underwear and not remembering a thing. Not that this happened often, of course.

All the same... he's been avoiding her long enough, and vice-versa. Time to hunt down her captain.]

[Oh so very awkward. Hitsugaya hadn't been avoiding her at all. Why would anyone think that?

He's sitting at the fountain, idly running his fingers through the water every once in awhile, and watching whomever might be going by. He senses her reiatsu approaching and sighs when it's the familiar presence he's used to. Well, at least there's that; he wonders if she really remembers what happened last week. He turns his head, watching her approach out of the corner of his eye.

Hello, Matsumoto. Are you normal now, too?]

Captain. [She approaches, but does not sit, standing to the side slightly in front of him.]

[One corner of his mouth lifts up, almost imperceptibly. Yeah, she's back. He can't say how relieved he is that he wasn't changed in any way. He doesn't have to stand on Matsumoto's side of any conversation.]

Lieutenant. [He glances at her.] You back? [Do you remember?]

[ Does casually walking on the deepest point of the riverbed, where there is no way there would be any air, count as trolling?

Because that is exactly what Aether is doing. He makes several silent steps as he passes under the bridge, only for his hand to whip out and catch a fish that's been floating by without any concern for the water pressure and the way it should slow him down.

If Hitsugaya is still there by the time he looks up at the water surface, he'll be given a curious glance followed by a very casual salute. ]

[That definitely counts as trolling. Hitsugaya actually thinks he's seeing things at first -- Luceti has been known to do that to him -- but then he realizes that that actually is a person down there.

Well, stranger things have happened in Luceti.

At the salute, Hitsugaya raises his hand in a small wave and raises his brow. Such very strange people he's surrounded by.]

[ To Aether, people who are surprised by such things are the strange ones... but then, he's already gotten used to Luceti being inhabited by the strangest of things.

He keeps his hand raised for a few moments, only to lower it as he begins to make his way to the shore. The stream still doesn't affect him much...

Well, except that branch that floats by and decks him in the head right as he gets out. That must have been uncomfortable. ]

[That looked like it hurt. Hitsugaya can't help the small wince.]

All right?
