Malachi was getting a headache. This wasn't exactly out of the ordinary for him these days. A side effect of being a clone that needed to be controlled, he knew, but the fact that he was on a ship with over eighty people on board made his main headache relieving activity a bit difficult. He had a hypospray of medication to relieve it for a short while though and used it now, not wanting to bother anybody. Sitting back, he closed his eyes and waited for the medicine to get rid of his headache.

The door's not locked, but thankfully Malachi pulls himself off the floor and opens the door to see his original. He doesn't even try acting like Malcolm, looking in pain and ready to fall over. "I guess I was wrong about it being an hour."

"I guess you were. Shall we get you to Phlox?"

"No, I'll be fine once I get rid of this headache." And if drugs are off the table, you know what that means. "Will you help me, Malcolm?"

"I...suppose that's the best option at the moment," he started awkwardly. "The only one we seem to have, that is."

Malachi pulls Malcolm into his quarters and shuts the door behind him, locking it as he does. "Help me over to the bed. My balance is off because of this."

Malcolm loops an arm around him as if assisting a wounded comrade and maneuvers them over to the bed. "I can't believe they get that bad."

He's tugging down the zipper of Malcolm's uniform, not paying attention to anything else, though luckily he hears him speak. Flopping onto the bed once he's done with that pesky zipper, he glances up at the lieutenant. "I wouldn't be able to escape once they found me or I'd be useless to whoever took me. If they got bad enough, I wouldn't want anything other than relief from this pain. It makes for perfect control over me."

Malcolm shrugs out of the top of the uniform and starts tugging off his shirt underneath. "But it also makes you useless for long missions, and wouldn't it be better to have control in a way that still lets you do your job as well as you can under any condition? Or is the point that he never wanted you that far away?" Isn't he so good at pillow talk?

"They were the ones who created me, so it stands to reason that they would be able to change the amount of time it takes for me to get headaches so it wouldn't interfere on long missions. I have gone on long missions without any headaches." Like to Romulus to meet with Commander Tucker, but they don't need to mention that mission. Sitting up, Malachi starts helping Malcolm out of the rest of his uniform, tugging down the fabric with determination.

"Well, I never did claim to be a geneticist, so I wouldn't know how these things work." He kicks out of his shoes and, with the offered help, eventually ends up on the bed next to Malachi bereft of any intruding clothing.

"Perhaps we should leave that for the doctors to figure out. Worry about other things instead." Like the task at hand. Now that Malcolm's undressed, Malachi can start removing his own uniform, but not before he leans over and kisses Malcolm.

"Oh, you don't want to encourage me worrying about anything. Especially not with something like this." He at least manages a laugh at that, though half-hearted, and similarly assists Malachi out of his uniform.

"I think I know better than anyone that I should never encourage you to worry." He smiles at Malcolm about it. Malachi's glad for Malcolm's help in getting his uniform off. With how bad the headache is, he has to stop and close his eyes every so often.

"And yet, you do so anyway. Shame on you."

"Perhaps I like when you're worried about me."
