Basically rotary engine (like Mazda's been using) v2.0. Personally, I think my next is going to be diesel. I'd really like to support biodiesel when it comes out.
I did. It's a nice idea, but it's a bit over-ambitious. I especially have to choke on my pockey when they say no oil. As a machinist's mate, that scares the daylight out of me. Considering that the carriage wheels ride on roller bearings, under the stresses they're likely to experience, they'll need to be grease packed. If you think changing your oil is a pain, wait until you have to change out the grease in the bearings. Pull off the cover, pull out the rotors and open the bearings, clean out the old grease, add new grease, replace the gasket and put the cover back on... oops, I hope you have a torque wrench to tighten the nuts. Hand-tight won't cut it like it does for your oil filter. Since it's supposedly zero-vibration, I'll assume you won't have to lockwire the nuts on the closure head.
