I've never read that book and after all the bad reviews I've read about it, I never will.

I haven't read those books, and I don't plan to, but the very idea of them makes me twitch, too. I hate that the entire world now has a completely wrong idea of what makes a D/s relationship, and that what is actually an abusive relationship in the novels is just "kinky".
