Apollo has had a long day. Not a hard one, just a long one. From the first tactical strike against the warships through to the display above Washington, Apollo has been on the go since he got up

Jenny is asleep. She is also, however, clean and laying on the couch under a blanket with her head on John's lap. When it had gotten late, he'd scrambled together a quick meal and dunked her in the bath. That is to say -- she went in the bath, and then most of the bath went on him. He'd had to change, too, after.
They'd been watching some show on the animal channel about leopard cubs. Kitties, John! Baby kitties! It was still playing, but he wasn't paying much attention.
"Me? I'm fine. We went to the park, Jenny brained a few ducks with bread crusts, played on the swings..." He trailed off and shrugged. "She fell asleep while we were swinging, so we came home."
"Oh, the bathroom floor may be a little slick, but it should be mostly dry."
John can't help but laugh a little at that. "Poor Angie. Maybe, she's just misunderstood?"
"She'd like a tutor better than a school, I think. It's what she's used to. Jenny could sit in with her, if she wanted then. So she wouldn't feel left out." He lets his head lull onto Apollo's shoulder again and chuckles softly. "No, actually... Longshot got the horse for her. Won it in a card game, if I recall correctly. Which is fortunate, considering his alternative plan was to ask the Pope for one..."
He nods in agreement. "All right, tutor then. I need to start arranging schooling for Jenny, anyway. We can get a tutor, I guess." He leans his head on John's. "Well, if Tasha's happy to keep the horse on her property, Lisa can still go and ride."
John chuckles and nods. "Well, as long as that's clear."
"Mmmm. It won't be a fun conversation. I think Natasha's gotten attached to Lisa. She won't be happy when I come to get her." He sighs. "I probably left her way too long. I just didn't want to drag her into all of my insanity. And I'll never take her back to Libria, so that was out."
"You did the right thing. You couldn't take Lisa back there and we all know it." He bumps John. "Of course she's gotten attached, but frankly, so do teachers and tutors and nannies and they still know that they're not their children. Don't worry about it, there won't be a problem."
