The road to hell is paved with good intentions

So, I have a half-finished fiction "7 sins" (with the title likely to change) which still needs a helluva lot of work, actually. But here's the philosophy for it. This was also crossposted to... somewhere... *narrows eyes*

Way to hell thisaway! )

"seven cents" Nice turn on an old phrase!

Let me start by saying WOW!!! That was incredibly insightful, and now I'm going to have to pimp this out to everyone! XD Amazing! I give you cookies. *hands you gourmet cookies* They all made a lot of sense, and yeah, the Pegsi one surprised me at first, but it made a lot of sense.

*runs off to share insight*

I knew you'd be interested. ^_^ *shares the cookies*

I just suddenly had the odd wish to do something like this, and lo and behold! -- It actually worked.

Argh! I was expecting Malik under Lust!

Very nice association of YGO characters with the capital sins. But...no Malik. *cries* (Heehee! I wonder if anyone will associate Naruto characters with the sins. I would easily associate Shikamaru with Sloth and Hinata with Humility (opposite of pride).)

I remember one Maundy Thursday-Good Friday-Black Saturday part of Holy Week when I fasted and read The Divine Comedy. Loved it, especially when he reached Heaven.

Malik? Lust? I'm afraid I don't see how that one could work. Which traits of his, to your mind, would file him under Lust?

My all-time favourite part of The Comedy has always been Hell.

Ah. I see.
As pretty as this might be (your work, I presume? amazing, really), but unfortunately this is not canon. And I was keeping to canon, nails and teeth.

Wow, great insight. It's good to see that there are people that think outside the box around. I like this analysis of the character's "cents" much better than some of the ones that I have seen, which most are half-assed and very shallow to say the least.

Pegasus didn't surprise me all that much, mainly because of his sadness and his reliabilty on the eye. You have taken alot of time with this analysis, which is outstanding.

Thanks for the wonderful insight. I will certainly keep what you said about the seven sins in mind, even though I'm not a religious person by admission.

Ah, thank you! ^_^ I did my best because I was fed up with those stereotypical and fangirly listings. They break a character, making him/her OOC, and then they stamp it as this and that, and lyiek ZOMG!!!!elventyone! -_-"

I've been playing with this idea ever since the one Charmed episode where the three sisters were "infected" with the sins. Prue was Pride, Piper was Gluttony, Phoebe was Lust (I think... *shifty eyes*), and Leo was Sloth.

Oh yes, the bane of every anime fan!! ^_^ Stereotypical listings. I dread those. I agree that the typical listings can break a character.

I saw that episode of Charmed!! I thought it was fantastic. It was by far one of the best ones that I have seen yet! I was under the impression that Phoebe was wrath, but I could be wrong too.

I think that it would be interesting to see you analysis in a fic. It certainly grabbed my attention.

I can understand if you don't. It's fine the way it is just the same. I have read your post here at least three times, and each time, it gets better.

I read your fic Clipped Wings and I thought it was fantastic. XD I like the heavy feeling in fics. I guess I'm a dark person by nature. XD

But Prue was fabulous. Pride is sometimes quite the horrible thing if you think about it. And I could be wrong about Phoebe. It was a loooong time ago, after all. :D

Well, if I can pull myself together and actually finish the remaining 2/3 of the fic, you might be able to see that seventh wonder. -_-"

I'm happy you liked that one! I'm still not quite satisfied with it and am working on editing out the holes, but otherwise it doesn't bug me as much as some other "wonders" of mine do. Can't say I'm easily satisfied... *nervous laugh*

Read any other fic o' mine? If you know Pearl, she could tell you I very seldom write happy stuff. For a very long time I was even convinced that I could not write a humorous fic for the life of me.

That's really fascinating stuff, I can tell you put a lot of thought into it! With some of your choices, I was stunned until I read your reasoning, then it all fell perfectly into place.

I agree with you about the writing. The flow seemed so natural and the reasoning made perfect sense. I sometimes wished that I had the time to think things like what lightrobber thought about and did my own.

I'm not as savvy a reader as I should be and the 7 Sins makes perfect sense. I should start reading up on my philosophy. XD

Ah, philosophy is a good thing! ^_^ And there are lots of things to write about out there.

And I'm glad you found this an interesting read. =]

Yes, it is.

I certainly liked the way that you accertained the characters to meet the sins. It's not an easy thing to do, I'm sure. You pulled it off really well, which is something to be very proud of. XD
