Look! This is me posting more and at a regular rate! Isn't it exciting?! Except my friend's list always seems so dead and lifeless and meh. COME BACK TO MEEEE, PEOPLE WHO ARE NO LONGER HERE FOR WHATEVER REASON. Anyway! This weekend I went to the Cheltenham Literary Festival which, I know, sounds lame since most of the people I know have wristbands ( Read more... )

I am not sure if you mean ONE BOOK one book or if a trilogy is okay. If not, The Subtle Knife, because I can't live in a world where I don't have access to Will shouting "You think things have to be possible? Things have to be true!" The most beautiful, the most heartbreaking, the best way to sum up the series as a whole, in my opinion.

oh, I always think of HDM as like, a single entity - I could never bear to split them apart or pick one over the other, BUT AH. WILL. THAT QUOTE. So lovely and suuuuuuuuuch a good choice!

I DON'T KNOW YOU CAN'T MAKE ME DECIDE THAT! What book would you choose?

I also love that we have the same edition of so many books, haha. I love stalking people's bookshelves.

NOOOO, JUST PICK. EXCEPT. NO, I CANNOT PICK EITHER. Probably Lolita by Nabokov? Or Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials

Great minds think alike, clearly!

This IS really exciting that you're posting regularly!

I'm jealous of your bookshelf Kathryn! I have like, no books. My mom never let me buy any lol and now all the ones I DO have I lend out so if you saw my room you'd probably think I don't know how to read. And lol, I SEE THE GERRARD BOOK.
AND Atlas Shrugged that I read last semester for econ! haha. AND are those colorful ones in the 4th picture Harry Potter? Cause they're so much prettier than the US versions!

I'm not gonna choose a book, I CAN'T!

Your mother never let you buy books???! BUT WHY. If there was one think my mother would almost always let me buy when I was younger, it was books. I mean, how can you say NO to a child who just wants to read?! Haha yes, I am sad and I have his autobiography. AND yes, those are HP books!

PHILIP PULLMAN!! Awesome, he is amazing. Was there some sort of... I don't lecture, or him speaking to audience?

If I had to choose one book to read for all eternity, I think I'd cry forever first.

Oh, and, slightly irrelevant but I started watching Merlin a couple of weeks ago and I just finished S2 and omg your icon! These two are SO PRECIOUS. SO ADORABLE. I want them to never love another until the end of time. Damn you Lancelot.

HI HI HI. It was like, an interview about his new book? So he was up on a stage and having a conversation with a newspaper editor regarding it and then the audience got to ask questions. HE IS AMAZING

AW, I AM HAPPY YOU LIKE THEM because almost everyone ever seems to hate poor Gwen for some reason or the other. But yeah, Arthur and Gwen and the moony eyes they make at each other - LAAAHV.

I DID, I DID, I DID - HE IS AMAZING.

Aw, that's so sweet! I love my grandfather's old books and their ~old smell but some of them are like, genuinely decaying on my shelf because they're that old. Scary sight! And mine have no cute notes :(

You should! It is awesome-sauce!
