AW, I'M REALLY SORRY. If it helps I do love them both as individual characters so much and their relationship is wonderfully intriguing and I lovelove all the references to their history but I get the feeling they have destinies pulling them in other directions and I'd like to see that followed through, I guess.

Colin is pretty adorable, too! There was a point in time where I liked Merlin/Gwen. She was so adorably awkward around him for awhile. The writers just sort of dropped her little crush on him.

For some reason loving Gwen is really uncool even though she is pretty much the sweetest character on the show
THIS SO FREAKING MUCH. Why is loving Gwen so uncool? She is sweet and good and NOT in a Mary-Sue ish type of way.

I appreciate the relationship between Arthur/Merlin but I do not feel them in a slash-y way which alienates me from most of the fandom.

UGH, LANCELOT CAN GTFO. I just don't feel this version of Gwen would cheat on Arthur. I doubt I would buy it if the writers were to go down that route.

I like the idea of Merlin and Morgana a lot. They should hook up. SPARKS WOULD LITERALLY FLY, SEEING AS THEY ARE BOTH MAGICAL AND ALL.

WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA WAIT SO YOU SHIP ARTHUR/GWEN AND YOU ARE ALSO CHEZZAFEN? YOU ARE MY NEW FAVORITE PERSON, WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FRIENDS SOONER. I have to bask in the joy of this post for a little longer. I CAN'T EVEN BE COHERENT ABOUT THE NEW MERLIN TRAILER YET. The addition of Gwen/Lancelot in this version of legend makes me kind of anxious also, because I am totally into shipping Gwen and Arthur as they are on the show, where Arthur gives Gwen hope for her future and Gwen helps Arthur to realize the kind of king he can be (and in retrospect shouldn't be) and the potential of him boldly and publicly having to defend their love down the line. I DON'T WANT TO SEE FUTURE MARRIAGE BREAKUPS AND TRIANGLES AND ADULTERY. Also, the way Arthur says Gwen's name is the best thing ever.

I really like the Arthur/Merlin relationship too, in all it's cracky, not-so-subtle glory, albeit not as much as everyone else. It took me a while to see what the big deal was I guess but no, I like now. Not in a slashy way though, SORRY YOU GUYS. I mean, the

I went in to the show hearing how awesome Morgana was, but it took me a while to warm up to her and now she is just up there in my top female characters. Gwen though...I don't like Gwen. I've always been an Arthur fan, and she's never been a character I like. I don't actually hate her in this though. Does that count for anything?

I once saw this comparison with him and Simba from The Lion King (at least when he was young) AND YES, THAT IS EXACTLY THE CHARACTER I WOULD USE TO DESCRIBE HIM.

Haha, I saw this great Arthur video once set to 'I Just Can't Wait to be King' and now I so want to go watch it again. :)
