I have a few more of Philippa Gregory: The Other Bolyn Girl, The Constant Princess, The Virgin's Lover, and The Queen's Fool. Another author that touches on the same historical figures is Jean Plaidy. she has dozens of books, so I am happily (and slowly) collecting them.

Tracy Chevalier: The Lady and the Unicorn, The Virgin Blue. You might also like Susan Vreeland (I have all of her books too).

Rosalind Miles: I, Elizabeth (which I admit is only 1 of the 2 books I couldn't ever make myself finish) and her first two Tristan and Isolde books: Isolde, Queen of the Western Isle and The Maid of the White Hands. Bonus: I have her Guenevere Trilogy too: Guenevere, Queen of the Summer Country, The Knight of the Sacred Lake, and The Child of the Holy Grail.

I have a ton of books about Ireland and England. We should swap sometime.

my copies of The Other Boleyn Girl and The Virgin's Love are signed and personalized by Gregory from her visit to Seattle last fall. I have a thing for meeting authors. :P I love TOBG, but didn't much care for TVL, but it's an interesting twist on Good Queen Bess.

I also have I, Elizabeth, and I liked it well enough, although it's probably not one of my all-time favorites.

I am always up for swapping books! It looks like you like historical fiction as much as I do! :)

It's my favorite subject so far. I have almost every Morgan Llywelyn written, Ann Moore has a good 3-part series that I've reread probably 5 times, quite a few takes on Arthurian legends, and a huge collection of Asian-themed fiction books.

I'm currently filling out that book list you posted.

Because I know how much you love to read (current post is such an example =o) ) You should check out Goodreads. It's a cool website to keep track of books you are reading, rate them, and make recommendations to friends. There's an application to link it to facebook as well. I know you probably don't want one more site to update, but just thought I'd mention it. Great list by the way and I take your recommendations seriously!

that's not a bad idea (like I'm not already on the internet all the time anyway, haha). I'm also going to make a post here eventually, add it Memories and keep it public, so that people can check out the books I've read and my recommendations.

Glad you're reading the recs, I write so much sometimes I wonder if people just skip over! :P

I <3 Vegas! the book is... interesting. I'm going to reserve final judgement until after I've finished it, though.

If you get a chance, find time to read The Elegant Universe. Its probably the most comprehensive book on String Theory Ive ever read, and one of the most entertaining books Ive actually learned from in years.
