As for you participating as a mod, I have several ideas:
- play as a "special guest player" several times for each team (or just alternate every week)
- add your points to the team with fewer points at the end of the challenge
- play but not for points (or a reduced amount of points?)
- or you could just join a team because why not? *g*

And yeah, I'm such an obsessive over points and super competitive I'm afraid for any team I'm not on, I'm just all uggggghhhh. I'm almost thinking everytime I do a challenge I just use a coin flip site to see what team the points go to.

And of course, there's being fair about everything too. /le sigh
