What I did:
7.) Uploaded work documents to the work cloud account
8.) Tried, but failed (old phone) to be able to reply to work peoples cloning my cell as my work phone
9.) Researched if wine yeast can be used in place of bread yeast for making bread since everyone has bought up all of the bread yeast
10.) Stopped visiting my sister once a week since she works in retail and I work at a hospital, to keep one another safe.

So, can wine yeast be used in place of bread yeast? I am curious now! :D

Now, I must ask you how do you make your laundry detergent?

Okay, so I've translated the recipe I used. (It took me a while to find a recipe that didn't use Borax. Apparently it's really common as an ingredient in the US, but it's banned in the EU so obviously I couldn't use it ( ... )

Oh, wow, it is time consuming.
I will try it.
Thank you! :D

What I did:
1. Stocked up on frozen food.
2. Stocked up on bottled water and a few other drinks.
3. Bought extra bottles of soap for hand washing.
4. Organized all my cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, hand sanitizer bottles, and shampoos/soaps, , so they are all easy to access.
5. Organized my office space for online classes and purchased an under desk bike peddler to replace walking to class.
6. Washed sheets and towels, and changed the ones on the bed.
7. Called my family and contacted on Facebook to make sure they are okay where they are, since I live with roommates right now.

Oooo, I like the under desk bike peddler idea!!

Question: why the bottled water? Just in case? Or is your tap water not safe to drink? (I just have a Brita pitcher and drink filtered tap water.)

Thanks!

I don’t have a filter at my place where I’m at for school, but part of the reason is I don’t have water from my fridge or an ice maker and my roommates don’t leave any space for trays, so if I wanted any really cold water, I’d need bottles.

Ah, okay. I do keep old water bottles that we've bought in the past and refill them with fresh water and put them back in the fridge, but after a while, they get kinda skuzzy and I have to either wash them or recycle them if they're hopeless.

What I did:
1) Set up a "sanitizing" station near the front door even though we haven't had to use it.
2) Had a few family drop bys dropping off food, but kept to the porch only.
3) Drew a line about going in to work, full working from home.
4) Force myself to not go shopping more frequently than 1x/ every 2 weeks.
5) Set up social Zooms (as well as the work ones) with various friend groups.
6) Do yoga every work day, instead of just once/week.

A sanitising station is a great idea. There was a doctor in an article the other day that offered some advice about front doors. He said to treat your front door like a surgeon would treat an operating theatre door. Germs on the outside, sterilised (clean) on the inside. When you or someone else comes in from outside, don't touch the inside of the door unless your hands are clean/sterilised. Close it with your foot, or leave it open until you sanitise/wash your hands and then only touch the inside of the door, not the outside. Because you touched the outside with your unwashed hands. I thought it was good advice!

I did something like your sanitizing station - I've started using disinfectant wipes on the door handles, especially when I get back from work or shopping.

Good for you for doing yoga every day. I should excercise at home, too, not just go for a walk once a day.

I think I might have to adopt some of your grocery routines - I haven't even thought of refilling things into our own containers, but it sounds like a good idea.

2. Started shopping at the actual supermarket instead of doing it online as all grocery delivery services to my region have been temporarily suspended

Why is this? I would assume ordering food home would be better?

Reply

Because there has been massive panic buying a lot of stores are out of stock for a lot of items (which I would imagine is the same everywhere in the world now) but because the online shopping service packs the home delivery orders from supermarket stock and not from a warehouse or distribution centre, there isn't enough stock to make the orders up, so instead of continually cancelling everyone's orders due to amount of "out of stock" items, they just suspended the delivery service altogether instead.
