"Forever Falling" by lighted

We all fall sometimes,

you're not alone.

But just because

you fall,

doesn't mean you

can't get back up.

That's how you tell the

strong ones

from the

inferiors.

"You Know" by lighted

You know you're sad
when you don't want to
watch a sunset,
or just sit and relax,
or talk to a friend.

You know you're upset
when everything
seems like a put down,
when things seemingly
harmless,
make you cry.

You know you're happy
when you can't recall
any of these
experiences.

Note: I also wrote this in 4th grade, for my best friend, Jessie. Some of it doesn't make sense, lol. I don't think it's really a poem, but it's the closer to a poem than anything else.

Note: This was actually written about 2 or 3 years ago. I just found it the other day, and thought it'd be OK to post. I've tweaked it a little bit, of course :). I'm not sure if it's all one poem, or two, but I'll keep them together.

"Silence of the Thoughts" by lighted

Silence is a scary thing.

Thoughts running through
your head.

Scary thoughts, of the
tomorrows of tomorrow,
of the aches of today,
of the pains of yesterday.

What scares you even more
is that the silence
might be interrupted.

Silence brings to mind
those thoughts
you've pushed ahead
to tomorrow.

My first poem in this journal. This poem is being published in an anthology later this year.
