And honestly, said LA-to-Atlanta flight also had small munchkins (infants and at least one toddler), and they were quite bearable. People aren't necessarily expected to sleep (nor typically need to sleep due to the nature of the flight as opposed to the nature of the person) on such flights, so it's not a big deal if one doesn't. A 12-hour flight is a horse of a totally different colour than what most people are used to, and a lot longer to be cooped and cramped than the times in flight with which most people are accustomed. I think it made it worse that I like you and find you to be generally very reasonable, so I didn't want to think you were a baby-hater. For the record, I wouldn't subject a baby to a 12 hour flight for anything less than a full-on family reunion or emergency!
