Challenge - Fanwork-a-thon prompts list
I know it's not quite May the 1st yet, but it's near enough and I doubt any more prompts are coming in anyway.
1) Pick from these prompts however many you like, and write or draw. Although they're grouped into "fic" and "art" groups, if something inspires you, feel free to cross sections. If something can be interpreted first as general and then as slash or whatever, it's put into the general section. You can twist any of these prompts to be something else in any case -- this isn't a set-in-iron request list, just a list of prompts to get you thinking -- and ficcing. You can also write for your own prompts.
2) Comment with what you've picked so people can see which prompts are under-represented and such. Despite that, people can pick the same prompts if they wish, or even do a couple of takes on the same prompt themselves. Unlike many ficathons, there is no minimum word count. If you think you can write a spectacular fic in three sentences, try it!
3) Once you've completed something for it, post it, preferably to this community, and then leave a link in the comments of this post. If you post it to this community, remember to make the subject line "Challenge - [title]".
4) On the first of January, I will post a list of all the things submitted in the comments here. I may include a section for late arrivals which I'll update for an indefinite amount of time, but don't count on it.
Note: I've extended the deadline by two months because I'm relatively busy and haven't written all the things I intend to write for it, yet.

1. Barney - We're shown in canon that he can scry, and he seems to be unique in this ability to some extent, as shown by the interest both the Dark and the Light take in him (one side in using him, the other in protecting him). I want to see something that plays with this somehow. Something plotty.
2. Barney/anyone - Portrait painting.
3. Bran - Beautiful stranger.
4. Bran - Always alone.
5. Owen and Bran - A happy time.
6. Owen and Bran - Owen finds out that Bran is gay, and struggles to accept it, but does try (and succeed), because, after all, Bran is his son.
7. When Bran moves out, Owen has to get used to it.
8. John and Bran - "You're the only one that understands me."
9. John Rowlands attempts to give Bran a new dog.
10. Owen and John Rowlands - Shared loneliness.
11. Jane and the Greenwitch, later in life -- dreams by the sea.
12. Jane and The Lady. Just what is their connection?
13. Merriman, Guinevere, baby Bran. Bonus points for Owen and Guinevere interaction.
14. Arthur and Merriman - There are so many King Arthur stories which contain Merlin. Are any of them 'true'? Pick one of them and work it into TDIR 'verse. :)
15. Gwion and Merriman - So how exactly did they get so fond of each other?
16. Merriman and Will - Once Will's days as the Watchman are over...
17. Will and someone else - The Light sends Will a little comfort and company so he's not all alone.
18. Robin and Paul - Closer than you think. (Shipping or brotherly interaction, it matters not.)
