I realize I don't post very much, and by that I mean never, but I've decided to enlighten all of you. As all of you know I am Mormon and attending BYU; as such most of you have heard me talk about *cue dramatic music* the Honor Code. Now I take the Honor Code (notice the caps) very seriously and for good reason. If I were caught breaking the Honor

Hey, if you go to BYU, do you know Matt Sheppard (former high school classmate of mine)? (Okay, so he's probably not the only one by that name, but he'd be a senior, formerly of Shaker Heights High School. Also, he always wears orange, unless that's changed since high school.)

On another note I am not acquainted with this "Matt Sheppard" of yours and I find that tidbit about orange entertaining. We could have met though because I'm also a senior.

It's not surprising that you couldn't get me as the reception is horrible through the mountains. Why don't I call you toward the end of this week when I get more settled in to where I'm living (I was almost homeless when I got here btw) and the school I'm working in.
And hey: don't feel lonely! You're in California so have fun! I know its hard right now but think about think about all the things you can do and not the things you left behind. And no watching movies specifically about boulder for a while. Seriously, it's like you're trying to be homesick. Chris, out of everyone I know you are the one that I know will seize the opportunities in front of you!

Oh man, the memories! People making out in the back of the lobbies trying not to be seen, begging the RA to give us all one more minute, guys coming around to the 1st floor windows so we could keep talking later than 12. I myself NEVER snuck a guy into my dorm: I know, can you believe it? I was a very VERY good girl that way. I took that Code seriously, too, with the exception of applying Hours to off-campus housing (really, you can't seriously think THAT can be regulated!).
...I'm not sure whether those are 'good' memories or not, actually.

Yeah, basically I'm glad that I'm past the honor code part of my life. I have every intention, in fact, of making light of spending the night at my friend Zach's on the way back up north in a month, just because I can.
Talk to you later.

I would love to do something! By the way I'm going to be in South Jordan to be closer to my school I'm teaching in so if you look for me in Provo I won't be there (YAY!!!!!). And if you need a place to stay you can stay in my fancy apartment as I'm living alone. I would be more than happy to have you.
I'll talk to you later!

In fact that might be a better offer then some of the other ones I have had since they all include living with Parent figures. Love them, but yikes, I could use a break.
No, Zach is very much NOT a BYU student - he wouldn't even sign the honor code to begin with.
Talk to you later.

Oh AND (you are not going to believe this) anyone I live with has to sign the honor code, BYU student or not. Can you imagine? "Hey, I realized that we just met like 2 minutes ago but I think you're not a slut but also deprived of all moral fiber. So can you sign this contract saying you will not act on any of your heathen urges for as long as we live together? I don't want to have to be exposed to your evil ways."
... yeah THAT would go over well.
And your friend Zach sounds like my kind of guy- its funny peoples overall reaction to BYU.
Just give me a call when you get close.
