I love how the first two words of "how to win your heart" are "flash me". I should have stopped reading there.

I don't know about number five. I've always thought that's something I'd like, maybe because of the bond or how it would challenge me, but I don't know how I'd actually react in the situation.

i don't have any real pride issues when it comes to what it is that i'm talented at. so long as the other person isn't being an arsehole, i'm good with competing just for fun, and i like it sometimes when someone who used to be worse than me surpasses me.

the caveat of it being giggly is about that, the understanding that it doesn't really matter. the moment that sort of thing matters to either party is when it falls apart, and the action to take is to do your best to release the part of you that thinks it matters.

I like to think it wouldn't matter to me and that I could find the fun of it, I just don't know myself well enough.

Also, I'm sure there would be a big difference in how I handled it if it was just something I'm kind of good at (like math or video games) instead of something I've been really good at for a long time (like programming).

And some things are a lot more fun when I'm not always the best. I like it when Laurel beats me at darts.

it's true that i've never been put to the test in a whole lot of things, but i think that even if instinctually i have a more negative response, i could do okay at working through that and finding peace with it in the long run. we'll see - it's not like i'm in the market for a long-term partnership with anyone at the moment, so it's moot until i get to that space. :)

Aw, c'mon...I think you know what I'm asking...perhaps it would be clearer if I said, how many and which ones?
