in general i don't like the new fb at all, but one of the great advantages of having the adverts on the right side of the screen in isolation as opposed to the left is that i can push my fb browser window off of the screen to the right and not miss any actual fb content.

that in itself might make the new fb worth it so that i don't have to look ( Read more... )

There is a noticeable difference between PIU charts and PIU Pro charts. The Pro charts have a very ITG feel to them. Have you made it up to Vancouver to play yet? I think you might like it.

i've played pro, i know that it's all the foy and kyle stuff, and i'm fine with that. i put pump pro in a different class than just pump.

What's wrong with Pump charts? Is it the rhythms or the choreography?

a little of both, but mostly rhythms. i feel like it has a lot of the early MJ/foy syndrome of repeating 3 note or 5 note patterns, or runs to make things more difficult in a context where it doesn't belong in the song (like, say, the beginning of Destiny expert in itg2). On the double side i'm only comfortable enough to play up to 8s, and a few of the charts are wonderful at exploiting what makes pump double unique and fun, but other charts just move back and forth between side 1 and side 2 awkwardly - a "cool on paper not in actuality" sort of thing. like... doing jumps on 1UL+1UR then 1DL+1DR then 2DL+2DR then 2UL+2UR and repeat at a BPM of 170ish isn't fun.
