messages and fb

LJ rolled out some major enhancements today, and one of them is that private messages can now be sent through LJ. Since this is now available, i'm taking off my LJ email address on my profile page since i get a lot of spam through that from spambots finding that.

Hm. I thought that where my email was posted on LJ was supposed to be mangled so spambots couldn't use it.

it tries to be mangled, but it's not always successful. i get a bunch of spam in my spam folder that's directed to darknote at livejournal dot com.

i avoid myspace like the plague. i don't even want to begin to fathom the cf that happens over there.
